What is your location?

Miss Teak Charters operate out of The Moorings Marina in Carrabelle, Florida. Carrabelle is on scenic U.S. 98 about an hour from Tallahassee or Panama City.

What should I bring?

Your tackle, bait, and fishing license are provided. Bring along your sunglasses, sunscreen, food or beverages for the day, and any medicines that you require. Bring along your luck and that camera too!

What do I wear?

Spring, Summer, and Fall mornings can be pleasantly cool, so bring along a windbreaker. Days generally warm up and you will be comfortable in loose fitting cotton clothing. Winter trips call for heavier clothes. Select here for more information on the weather report.

Do you have a restroom on board?

Yes, and a very nice one at that. We also have a place to change clothes.

When should I schedule my charter?

Whenever you want to go fishing or just enjoy a great day on the gulf. Your Captain will let you know what's biting and usual weather conditions during that time period.

Are there many motels and restaurants in the area?

Yes.. Just click on "THE MARINA" or "THE AREA" icons on our home page for complete information on the many motels and restaurants in the area.

How do I make reservations and pay the deposit?

Reservations and arrangements to make deposits can be made by phone, e-mail, or snail mail.

Where do you fish?

Miss Teak Charters fishes up to fifty miles off shore over ledges, wrecks, man made reefs, and natural bottom.

What kind of bait will be using?

We try to make all kinds of bait available. Frozen bait, live bait, and artificial lures are used depending on what the fish are biting.

Who will clean the fish we catch?

There several fish cleaning services and fish markets in the area who will clean and package your fish for a small fee.

Can I take my children on the trip?

YES. We carry children size life jackets and light fishing tackle made especially for the little ones. We also have electric reels for those who need them.

How long are the trips?

A full day trip is between eight and nine hours. A half day trip is between four and five hours.

Is it customary to tip and if so, how much?

The deck hand is paid only for cleaning the boat after the trip. His work during the trip is for tips only. Ten to fifteen percent is customary.
