"NOW AVAILABLE FOR CHARTERS SEVEN DAYS A WEEK"

June 2nd:

Jason and I had the pleasure of taking some of the employees from The Printing House Ltd., an innovative Tallahassee printing company, fishing for a half day trip last Saturday. Kent Dowdy, Mike Broom, Steve Lane, and Ron Fondo from Tallahassee were joined by guest Doug Convoy and Matt Carpineta from Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. The seas were a little bit bumpy but these guys fished hard and boated some nice grouper. The catch of the day was a very large red fish caught in 65ft. of water. This big boy was released back into the gulf as soon as his picture was taken and after a few minutes of recovery time, he swam away to hopefully produce many more exciting catches. A great time was had by all so...

May 26th:

William Wiard, Kristi Moore, Kirt Murphy and Randy and Laquilla Massey joined Jason and me last Sunday for a day of fishing on the Gulf of Mexico. The seas were great and they had been killing the fish on Apalachicola Reef all week so we went looking for some of the action. On our first troll across the reef we hooked up with a big Cobia and put him on the boat. The next pass across the reef produced an extra extra large King Fish who danced and put on a show for us before he broke off. Bottom fishing produced a half dozen short Black Grouper with one keeper Red, four or five Amber Jacks in the 24 to 26 inch range and a dozen large Angle Fish for a good pull. These people are fun to fish with and Jason and I are looking forward to fishing with them again. The weather has been great lately so...

May 15th:

Kent and Veta Dowdy, their daughter Ashley, Veta's dad Arno Henshaw, and family friend Ken Armstrong joined us for a beautiful half day of fishing on Saturday. The sea was as slick as a goat's lip, a light breeze blew all day and there was not a cloud in the sky. Mother Nature and King Neptune were in a good mood and gave us a wonderful day for fishing. The catch of the day was a box full of black bass, ruby lip snapper, and a good size grouper. The water is beginning to warm up and the fish are moving in close so...

April 21st:

Saturday was a great day for fishing. Jason and I took the Browning family out for a family reunion and a day of grouper fishing. Half of the family drove south from the Atlanta area while the other half came north from the West Palm Beach area. The Moorings have great rooms available for rent.

Miss Teak Charters can book your fishing or site seeing trips and the restaurants and beaches in the area make Carrabelle a great place to have reunions, meetings, or vacations. Stan, Frank, Jack, Alan, and Daniel Browning along with son-in-law Jack Melton, were the fishermen of the day.

The grouper were chewing. The seas were just right. The crew was ready to fish. Add all this together and you get eight big grouper (most of them over twelve pounds) along with a box full of ruby lip snapper and black sea bass. Top that off with a large trigger fish and you have more than enough meat for a family fish fry. The big catch of the day was a large shark which was quickly released after being pulled to the top.

March 8, 2001:

John Letts and his wife from Aurora, Colorado were joined by John's sister-in-law and two nephews from Tallahassee for a half day trip on Thursday. The seas were perfect and the fish were chewing. Every one had a great time catching grouper in close. The fish of the day weighed over 22lbs!

But, there are alot more fish still out there, so...

March - April, 2001

"Boy what a great week this has been. I have spent the last eleven days on the water and have had a great time fishing!"

~ Captain Al ~

March 31st: Jason and I had a great day taking Vickie and Rob Rommel fishing on Saturday. They took a nice catch of ruby lip snapper and black bass home with them. The grouper were a little slow but we had a great time and put some fish in the boat. These folks own a computer store in Blackshear, Georgia and are a lot of fun to go fishing with. Can't wait to take them out again.......

April 5th: Don Scott, Bob Craft, Gene Lastinger, Paul Tompkins, and Andy Clark from Moultrie Technical College joined me for a day of fishing on Wednesday. The grouper were chewing and everyone caught their share. We also put some black bass, grunts, and trigger fish in the boat. We all had a great time and look forward to fishing together again soon.

April 6th: Took Jerry Brown and his family out on "Lil Teak" for a half day trip around Dog Island. These people were from Oklahoma and this was their first trip out on the Gulf of Mexico. Spent an hour in the middle of a school of dolphin that were feeding on Spanish mackerel. We caught and released 22 beautiful Spanish mackerel in less than twenty minutes. The dolphin put on a extra great show for these land lovers and they used up over three rolls of film taking pictures of these beautiful mammals.

April 9th: What a day of fishing. Jason and I took Sam Brown, Allen Dalton, Chuck Harrod and Tony Conger on Miss Teak and went off-shore for a great day on the gulf. The water had warmed up a little and the big boys were chewing like crazy. We ended up with eighteen large gag and red grouper as well as a huge cooler FULL of ruby lip snapper, trigger fish, and black bass. Everyone on this trip took enough fish home to Moultrie Ga. to last them for a long time.

January 2001:

Well, the weather has warmed up a little and the phone has been ringing off the hook. Booked a trip for a party from Colorado and another one for a group from South Florida. Looks like it's going to be a busy summer for "MISS TEAK CHARTERS" and we are looking forward to having alot of fun catching alot of fish.

Took Jason and his girlfriend Jamie trout fishing last Sunday and they limited out in less than an hour. The cold weather has driven the trout and reds into the holes up river and they are chewing anything you throw at them. GREAT FUN and good eating too. Give me a call and let's set up a trip for you and your friends this Spring!

Until then...
